Canyon Village, a new mixed-use development in Silverleaf, a luxury community within DC Ranch in north Scottsdale, topped out last week, and developer DMB Associates has announced Grazie Pizzeria Winebar will be the property’s first dining tenant.
Planned to open first quarter 2008, Grazie at Canyon Village will be the third location for the popular Scottsdale neighborhood restaurant.
“This new location is very exciting for us,” said Grazie owner Maurizio Cristiani. “We already have a lot of customers who come to our original Scottsdale restaurant from north Scottsdale, so we know this area will warmly welcome Grazie.”
Grazie Pizzeria Winebar was created by Maurizio and Sandi Cristiani, and has been described by Frommer’s travel guide as “sophisticated and full of contemporary art….a place to share a couple of designer pizzas from the wood-fried oven and sip Italian wines.”
Praised by Bon Appetit magazine as “the kind of restaurant everybody wants,” the restaurant features original Tuscan-style recipes, fresh food imported from Italy and more than 100 imported Italian wine choices from every region in Italy. The eclectic design includes red and yellow color-washed walls and contemporary art created by owner Sandi Cristiani.
While the menu will feature the same popular selections as the original location, Maurizio said that some new take out options are being created for the Canyon Village location.
Grazie at Canyon Village will be located at 18835 North Thompson Peak Parkway. For more information, visit www.grazie.us.
Upon completion of construction, which is scheduled for next spring, Canyon Village will be home to 100,000 square feet of luxury offices, boutique retail and urban restaurants. DMB has created Canyon Village to be an intimate village-style community for the north Valley’s urban professionals. The 4.5-acre property includes four distinct buildings of formal Mediterranean architecture, designed by Bing Hu of H&S International. Canyon Village will feature an appealing atmosphere with lush courtyards and fountains that will contribute to the al fresco gathering spaces available to office and retail tenants. Fine furnishings and luxurious finishes assist in fulfilling the overall ambiance of this new urban development.
Silverleaf is a private enclave of custom estate homesites and classically designed luxury neighborhoods tucked into the canyons of the McDowell Mountains. Part of the award-winning community of DC Ranch, Silverleaf eventually will have 700 homes on 2,000 acres. Its Tom Weiskopf-designed golf course opened in April 2002 and the private Silverleaf Club & Spa has been ranked among the country’s finest.
